i bought the blackhawk adapter to put on a SAKO 85 varmint and it works great. and its nice because it gives you another swivel stud on the front to make up for the one used in the conversion. Amazon.com: BLACKHAWK! Swivel Stud Picatinny Rail Adapter: Sports & Outdoors
Guess i have a good CS story to report after my earlier comment. Sent in a scope i bought used that was having issues. About a week later i just got a box from them with a brand new replacement pst viper. Note said the body was damaged by overtightened rings. Guess i have learned my lesson on...
make sure to take a look at the Tikka offerings. They are rifles made in Finland, part of Beretta now but are known to be very accurate out of the box. They are the cheaper little brothers to the Finnish SAKO brand that makes the TRG22/42.

Make sure to factor in warranty on whatever you get. I just bought a 20 year old "classic" zeiss off ebay that the seller was a bit less than honest on the condtion of. Sent them same day to zeiss and just received them after a week. They repaierd, cleaned, realigned and purged with nitrogen...
