    I suggest you move it around a bit in front of your eye first. As a previous poster noted, the reticle can disappear if you are not lined up correctly.

    From what I've gathered from various sources, H110 is good for lighter bullets and supersonic, and AA1680 is the recommended subsonic powder. I played around a bit and this seems to be the case for my 8.5" upper, so I'm curious to see what you find.

    Stupid die question???

    Split rings are nice and work much better, but you can also put some bird shot (#8 or so) under the set screw to help the RCBS rings hold. You can also swap the brass set screws for steel, which helps but you'll need the lead to keep the die threads from getting damaged. This works best for me...

    No pics handy, but I used three Brownells stippling punches to do the front strap on a 1911 and it turned out pretty well. Very good grip, even after I burnished it with the side of a drift. By using several different punch styles and random placement you can create a very nice effect.
