great suggestion a lot of times this site has statistics like what calibers, what scopes, etc, etc. are used buy people in competitions. to answer the OP's question, a lot can be said for whatever caliber you are familiar with. a guy / girl shooting a .308 with lots of range time will do better...

i've got a couple of Vortex Viper PST2 on my rigs. i've shot them out to a mile. The Razor's are better glass, but about 2x the price i've picked up my used PST2's for around $500 each, but that's being patient. if you need one ASAP you can find them for around $700

I picked up an older Texas or Hollywood 7 stage rifle turret press but being so old parts are no longer available. Does anyone have a lead on replacement heads or happen to know if any other heads (e.g. Redding or Lyman) fit? thanks

much of it depends on your rifle i have a rifle that will do about 1 inch groups at 100 yards with 165grain but touching holes with 175 grain
