Re: How young is too young to take your kids hunting? My son hunted small game with me since he was 5. He is 8 now and will hunt big game when he turns 10. Here in AZ youth can take hunter ed at age 9 and hunt big game at age 10. I think it depends on how you teach them. I plan on taking him...- emac1682
