How much will Elevation Effect Zero?

Re: How much will Elevation Effect Zero? Thanks for the input everyone! Everything points to bumping the scope so as suggested I'm just going to make the adjustment and get over it and see what happens. Thanks again!

Shooting from the crook between door and car

Re: Shooting from the crook between door and car Shooting at that spot won't be an issue even with a brake. The only way it "may" and I mean even the smallest chance to cause damage would be shooting off the trunk lid of a crown vic for example. The glass in the rear windshield will typically...

How much will Elevation Effect Zero?

Re: How much will Elevation Effect Zero? I really didnt think that at 100yds it would be that big of an issue. The range I went to says 100 yards but my range finder says 110 which shouldnt make too much difference. The scope is set up in .1 mil incriminates. I'm starting to think it just got...

How much will Elevation Effect Zero?

To all, I am in a predicament and I'm seeking some advice from those more experienced than I am. I recently moved from Ohio to California due to military obligations and finally made it out to the range. After getting settled back into the rifle I noticed I had been shooting consistently high at...

Rifle Scopes nightforce nxs mounted on an ar10/eyerelief?

Re: nightforce nxs mounted on an ar10/eyerelief? Yes it looks odd but if you cheek sits way far back on the stalk you'd need the scope further back on the rail to get the proper eye relief. But that just bares the question why not move your head forward as well as the scope.

    Rifle Scopes savage rail help

Re: savage rail help +1 on the EGW, doesn't break the bank but very comparable to the pricy "high end" bases.

    Best shooting mat??

Re: Best shooting mat?? I have the NCStar dragbag shooting mat and have no complaints. Really conveinant to have your bag fold out. its got tons of MOLLE loops on it to add accessory bags or tie things too. roughly $85 on amazon and ebay but definately worth the cash.

Who has taken a Savage 10 thru a Tactical Course?

Re: Who has taken a Savage 10 thru a Tactical Course? I've taken my 10FCP-K through two LE marksman classes. It stacks evenly with all the guys with the remys, you just feel like the bastard child of the group and take some crap from the other guys. It comes down to the shooter, the rifle...

Install HS stock onto a Savage

Re: Install HS stock onto a Savage Yeah I made sure I got the right spacing, 4.41 on mine, and ordered the stock to fit. I just didn't know if the actual dbm itself will seat right due to the bottom of it having the contours and shape for the accustock. I ordered the stock with the high comb...

Install HS stock onto a Savage

Hi everyone I'm relatively new to posting on Snipers Hide, but have been a long time browser of the forums. I've been working on my Savage build and ran into a question I couldn't find an answer for so here I am. First of all this is what I'm working with: Savage 10FCP-K .308 Heavy Fluted...

Ammo to try on new rifle

Re: Ammo to try on new rifle Hey good review on your ammo search. I personally have a Savage 10FCP-K in .308 with a compensator as my duty rifle. I use the 168gr FGMM and have had decent groups with it. It just takes time for the shooter, ammo, and rifle to all get very comfortable with each...
