Re: Anybody owned a Rem 5R and a Larue OBR .308?
I run an 18" obr and it is plenty accurate.
What you give up going with the shorter gas operated gun is velocity. My obr gets right at 2500fps with 43.5 gr of varget under a 168 gr amax bullet. And while the accuracy is there the wind call...
Re: Thunder Valley Precision
What is the phone # that you call to check the status of your paperwork? I know it is in this forum somewhere but I havent found it yet.
Thanks

Re: How far could I shoot this rifle to?
I was running a 1-4 vortex pst on a buddys rifle last weekend. we shot steel 45% idpas out to about 500 but stuff out past that got pretty challenging just due to the magnification. Id go with more magnification if I were you, it would help alot with...
Re: Switching from bolt to gas
I havent had any top shelf bolt guns just normal stuff like you. I saved and sold for a 7.62 obr and am very happy with it. Hits on 30% steel idpa targets @ 600 are pretty easy. And the ability to watch your splash and immediately follow up with a good shot...
Re: OBR which of the 3 in 7.62
I have an 18" obr and it would be too heavy. I can make hits off hand with it but it is more than I want to lug around all day.
my 2 cents
Re: MSAR owners...GET IN HERE!!!
Sold mine. It was neat but I just couldnt fall in love.
The inability to switch left to right , the goofball mags, (mine was an e3) and the gas port waiting to burn my poor little nubbies all added up to selling it to buy a supressor.
Malfunction clearing...
Re: Can or AR?
My son is five, I let him shoot my 16" carbine (heavy supervision of course). I was asking because if the kiddo is that young it really helps to have the collapsable stock (he could never reach the trigger without it). I started him on a cienner kit in it with subsonics one at...

Re: do You Spank Your Kids
I have 2 young boys. One is five and one is three. I spank them when they need it but nearly always give them a choice. I tell them that the behavior in question will result in a spanking and they need to choose weather to obey or get a spanking. I sting them a bit...
Re: Thunder Valley Precision
Update, Tom has sent in the form 4. That was 11 days from me going and trying it out to having the trust finished and the forms sent out.
Thanks again Tom.
Now the wait begins...........
Oh and for kicks, here is a short video of Jessie and I shooting the shark...
Re: Thoughts on these RRA Uppers?
I own 2 rra uppers. I have a flat top national match that shoots yery well. I have a nikon 2.5-10 bdc scope on it right now and shot a .7" ctc 5 shot group with it two weekends ago. Thats pretty typical performance, It would probably do a bit better if I were...
Re: Thunder Valley Precision
Yeah, The fee was $150. $100 for the trust and $50 to make me a member.
Also just heard from the attourney Steve Michniak, He has everything rolling on his end and has been great to deal with just like Tom.
I asked If I got a hat with the membership, but he...
Re: What knife would you recommend
Benchmade osborne. I have carried one for several years and love it.
Any benchmade with an axis lock will be faster than an assisted opener and will flick closed just as fast with just a little practice.
You can spend more but will have a real hard time...

Great shooting sir. Glad your OBR is a hammer. </div></div>

Re: Red Jacket Does it Agian!!

My latest defense is to tell the clown in question that I have sold all of my guns and taken up remote controlled helicopters
