Re: Kestrel and Horus dope
How do you know your scope tracks correctly? I'm not being a jerk i'm just asking. Did you measure with a laser bore site, or did you shoot to test this? The only way that is truly dead on is by using a laser, it eliminates the human factor. Just a thought / suggestion.

Re: Scope review, what do you guys think of these?
I would look into the SWFA Super Sniper scopes. I have used them in the past and have been very impressed with them for the price.

Re: Should I Switch Scopes..Hunting to Tactical?
Assuming this rifle is going to be used mainly as a tactical / target rifle, my awnser would most definetly be yes. Sell the scope and put the money toward the best glass you can afford. As they say in life "buy once cry once". I say this only...
Re: Bedding and truing opinions...
I don't see why it would not increase your accuracy, but honestly I personally believe more of it has to do with the barrel quality.
Re: 7MM or 300 win
With long range taget practice being your main concern, and either round being capable of killing most North American game any any reasonable distance. My first choice would be the .300 Mag. The bullet selection is much better. Look at Berger for instance, in their target...

Re: Shipping a rifle
You can take the rifle to a UPS hub and have them ship it or to any store that ships UPS via a daily pick-up account. It is however up to the individual with the pick-up account whether or not he wants to ship your firearm for he is held responsible if something happens...

Re: What does it cost?
I just got a rifle from Phoenix Custom Rifles, I think the rebarrel was somewhere around 275 and the blueprinting of the action was an additional 200. Well worth it, gun is punching a 3/8 moa holes all day. Plus the bonus is Brad and Keith Johns are 2 of the easiest...

Re: Fouling shots and accuracy
Well I was shooting Reade's range in Tyrone, but since they are closing range use privlages to shooters who dont shoot there competitivly, I have been shooting more frequently at Harry Jones 1000yard range in Fairmont, WV. I also spend some time at the Lawrence...
Re: Fouling shots and accuracy
Either way. It doesn't hurt for the mear 5 cents to send a dry swab down. Probably will help it settle back in faster. It usually takes 10 + shots before your groups tighten back up to what is to be expected of your rifle.
Re: Thoughts?
From what I have read about this ammo it is loaded to shoot faster than your average round. Which means that it is going to be a higher pressure round than normal. Your chamber is probably a very tight chamber and these high pressures are popping primers would be my guess.
