It's a Hart XM3 barrel with whatever the XM3 reamer spec is. The 2760fps was with 45.5gr of Varget, so yeah, it's hot and very compressed. I like to see how far I can go pressure wise right before I start blowing primers and that's where I cut my testing. I would never shoot it regularly at that...

I get 2610fps from a 175 SMK and 44.1gr of Varget out of my 18.5" with a mild load. Hodgdon states max charge with this combo to be 45gr. I've shot it all the way to 2760fps with Lapua Palma brass.

Anyone ever use IMR 4064 in their x47's? 120-130gr class projectiles are what I have in mind. I bought an 8#'er for 308 but haven't had much luck with it there.

Leupold VariX III 4.5-14 was on my 300WSM A-bolt, first deer rifle I got when I was 10. All my dad's rifles had some kind of Leupy Vari-X on it so that's what I ended up shooting the most until I got old enough and started buying my own stuff. Still have both the scope and rifle.

The charge does well under the chrono and there's no pressure. My ES is 12 with 43.3gr of 4064. I have a lower "node" at 42.4 and about 80fps slower, if it doesn't shoot with that I'm getting rid of the powder. At some point I gotta cut losses and stop wasting projos.

I for the life of me can't find a load that shoots with IMR 4064 and 175 SMKs. I've gone from .02" off the lands all the way to .08" in ~.004 increments and nothing shoots better than .7MOA. I had one seating depth shoot around .5 MOA but it's too tight a window for me. Using Lapua Palma brass...

Best group I ever shot was with the 69gr SMK stuff through a Proof SS prefit. Was the last 4 shots of the box into .005". It's a consistent sub 1/2 MOA shooter and it has around 20 ES under the chrono. The brass is nice as well.

It's pretty much an 8-25.

Annealed about 800 pieces of brass, mostly 25x47L and 308 and a little 6.5 Creedmoor. I've had this thing for over a year but haven't been shooting much so I haven't used it. It's pretty slick once you get it setup.
