Is bedding the AR barrel a myth? What's the best way?

I've had good results with regular jb weld so far. It says it's good to 550 F. I used imperial sizing wax for release agent, so it should come apart if needed.

    300 Norma H-1000 max?

I saw noticeable ejector marks at 86gr h1000 with a 26" barrel and 230 hybrids. The max was 3050 fps, but I just run it 82.7gr at 2950.

    Lion Identifying As Pit Bull

It appears that the lion might not have been properly socialized. Was it a rescue lion?

Am I just trash with an AR?

I read a bunch of service rifle stuff on the cmp forum when I was troubleshooting my first precision AR. It is a different discipline but it gives some perspective on what is really important and what isn't. With ammo for instance, most of them seem to just put 24gr of varget behind a 77 smk...

    First Remington 700 build..

I would run a factory barreled action and see how it does. Probably not as good as custom but way better than many think, and all the stuff will probably fit a custom later.

Eotech vs Acog vs razor 1-6

On the subject of acog eye relief, one thing that is rarely mentioned is the huge field of view you get in exchange for the shorter eye relief. My 4x acog seems to have at least as much FOV as my 3x PA microprism.

    Suppressors First Suppressor - PTR

I wonder how the porous parts handle high rate of fire. I don't know what rate of fire they are expected to handle but I could see that getting hot enough to melt. I think the cleaning part wouldn't be too bad as long as you figure out a good routine and don't let it get too nasty beforehand.

If Overton Windex made a movie

That was the very scene that made me finally turn that shit off. I was kinda mad at the actors for being part of it.

Which thing made the biggest difference?

I'm getting more and more about consistency as a whole. I think the fancy processes are good, but more beneficial in sports like benchrest where you win or lose by very small margins. I spend way less time loading than I used to but my ammo shoots every bit as good as it did before.

Who hunts with a 14-16lb rifle?

I would use a heavier precision rifle if the situation allows or benefits from it. Just like everything else in a pack. truck hunting= bring the kitchen sink if you want Backcountry = shave every ounce.

Considering a 13.9” upper to go with my 18” 6.5 Grendel.. thoughts?

I've noticed with shorter barrels, it's not so much a difference in overall hit probability, but the wheels seem to just fall off sooner. I mostly notice it near the max effective range.

    300 Norma Mag

How long did you load those rounds? Or I guess a better question would be when do they hit rifling in that barrel?

I had to back off from 42.6gr to 41.8gr 4064 in my .308 to get back to my new brass pressure and velocity.

This little faggot just wont go away…

The democrats are scraping the bottom of the barrel to get some new blood. We'll have to look at him for the next 50 years, just like biden. That or his heart will explode from too many covid boosters, which is very possible, so it could go either way.
