    As long as your chamber pressure is under 60k and the port pressure under 12k you're fine. I find 168/175 match bullets are much more accurate than 150s.

    The 30-06 garand doesn't require "mild" loads it requires proper lubrication.

    Most of the discussion is based on feelings and no actual data. Commercial ammo and milsurp ammo operate at similar pressures.

    They aren't really needed since the rifle isn't as fragile as the Internet leads you to believe. Your biggest concern should be is the rifle properly greased and the oprod spring is at least 19.5" long. Other than that load shoot ping .. repeat. Fyi there are no garand specs for ammo.

    Not sure which one I have....but it's 6-groove and 24" from shoulder to muzzle and the crown is a shallow dish compared to the 45deg stepped one. Muzzle dia is ~0.945 Chamber is ~1.2 No markings I can find and it still has quite a bit of camo paint on it. Schneider??
