    Remingtom 700 and an MTU contour

    I am just about ready to pick up a new 6.5mm cal barrel for my rem 700 and i am just thinking would the action threads be able to handle the weight of an MTU contour without ill effects in the long run. At 26" in length, it would have quite the force against it. Thanks for the input.

    Rifle Scopes Is my scope going to be okay?

    Alright, so i have a remington 700 .308 and i had mounted my Leupold MK4 ER/T in a NEAR Mfg alphamount base/rings, which is the base and rings together in a one-piece format. I torqued my scope rings to 21 in/lbs +/- 4% from the borka torque wrench, so between 21.84 and 20.16 in/lbs. I shot 4...

    Remington 700 action screws

    Does anyone know what thread pattern the Rem 700 action screws are? Also if anyone has a 700 with a McMillan A5 stock, what length of screw do you have? I am asking as when i got my DBM, it did not come with cap screws to replace the chamfered screws remington uses. Thanks.
