Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
Thinking about it further. The G prefix is probably a prototype since the G prefix is the one that was In use during the development of the 2010. It should predate the C prefix guns. I should do an foia on the G prefix. I bet all mil issued ones are like what you have seen with the matte...
If anyone wants to help with the project please contact me. As of right now, the parties involved in making the parts have all acquired bolts so there isn't much progress right now.
Based on evaluating the Rem Def inventory from the bankruptcy sale, this is what i've found: I have seen one early xm2010 barreled action. It had a G prefix receiver, flat bottom flutes, and all of the same coatings as the M24 (sandstrom and rem-tuff) It also had the magnaflux marking. My...
The front sight holes would not be made until after the barrel has been fitted to an action I would think. Because the timing would be off. Proof marks would indicate it was off a completed rifle though. From what I’ve gathered, the original mil contract barrels were stainless. The recent...
The action itself is titanium so it’s fairly soft and mars easily. The bolt stop serves as the bearing surface so the contact is steel on steel and the interchangeable bolt head engages on the steel barrel extension. It runs smoothly, bolt lift is what you would expect from a 3 lug design. The...
The s&b 1.5-8 is a nice optic for hunting. But that’s about it. Reticle is too coarse for target use, and 1.5x too much for cqb work. Fantastic glass though. Well suited for a hunting bolt rifle.
We have not gotten to that point yet. Still working on the drawings and finding an outfit to manufacture the parts. A small scale production run is very difficult so we need to know how many units are needed. If you have knowledge or information on appropriate bolt body materials and heat...
I wanted to let everyone know we are working to produce some of the missing MSR/PSR parts. These are awesome rifles, but it seems like there are more chassis’s and actions than bolt bodies and other small parts. Currently we are working on the bolt stop, bolt body, and firing pin assembly...
That is correct. The current production badger M24 mounts are too narrow for the original leupold ultra mounts. Normal picatinny type scope rings will fit though. If anyone has an older wider mount let me know. I will trade/buy it from you.
