Re: Oh Crap!! Round stuck in chamber Wouldn't soaking the action in oil to render the primer and powder inactive be the safest first step before pounding or prying on anything?
Re: Scope rings cross bolt - your opinions, please... Well, a set of Seekins rings should be at my doorstep tomorrow... And in the chart Glen referenced, it states lubricating is the preferred method, but one needs to be clear on which method given torque specs are for.
Re: Scope rings cross bolt - your opinions, please... That bolt Boris posted a pic of is mine. I called EGW this week and they swore they had never heard of one of their bolts shearing. I have sheared a few, and I don't think it is a bad batch, I think it is incorrect or unclear instructions...
Re: ATF Check Clear time?? I sent a personal check in on 19 December and it cleared on 23 December. It did clear as an electronic payment, not a paper check.
Re: Inch/Pound Torque Wrench I started with the cheap Harbor Freight one that only goes down to 20 in-lbs, and ended up buying the Borka. No regrets, I leave the Harbor Freight one in the bike toolbox, the Borka in the gun toolbox.
Re: Inch/Pound Torque Wrench Harbor Freight has inexpensive ones. Torque wrenches are one item where price = quality usually. If you can spend a bit more, a Borka is unbeatable.
Re: CMMG 22 conversion AR Like a lot of things mechanical, there is probably a break in period. I'd try to run a few hundred rounds through keeping everything lubed and see if that smooths out any problems.
Re: Suppressor for Tikka T3 7mm Mag? 30BA If I were buying a suppressor specifically for my Tikka I'd have bought the 30BA, but I bought the 30P-1 because it is going to be on my Remington 700 95% of the time.
Re: Suppressor for Tikka T3 7mm Mag? Don't discount the BA Zak mentioned, the mount might be better given the muzzle diameter. I bought my 30P-1 primarily for another rifle with a heavier barrel, not my Tikka. Either way, just trust the advice of the guys at TBAC.
Re: scope rail and rings questions. I've been happy with EGW bases and rings. If I were competing, or a professional like many others here I might pay the extra for the Badgers and such, but for all my needs EGW is fine. Seem a good value for the price.

Re: EGW scope rings? I think the vertical split ones are the Practical Model, the Tactical ones are split horizontally. I have two sets of the HD Tactical rings and can't complain at all.
Re: Suppressor for Tikka T3 7mm Mag? I have a T3 that I want to suppress as well eventually, so I am interested in the responses. I have never noticed a 7mm caliber specific suppressor, but they may exist. I would think any quality 308 can would work if it were magnum rated. As for threading...
