    Cleaning stuff from Cabelas

Soon its time to visit cabelas. I seldom have the chance to do so and Id like to purchase good stuff for cleaning and maintaining my rifles. Can you recommend products to clean out the barrel and the action........ plus a "lubrication" for a dry barrel before the first shot right after cleaning...

    Rifle Scopes BASIC stuff

Ok I guess this is basic stuff, still want your opinion guys. I zero my hunting rifle in at 150 yds. In my case (with a given ammo) the impact/trajectory is also spot on at 50yds, so there is no correction needed at 50 nor 150 yds. This is fine for most hunting applications in my case. My...

    Your light mountain rifle

Looking for some ideas for a mountain rifle build...... Reliable bolt action, crispy hunting trigger, compact barrel, light stock (folder?), nice little optics......you get the idea. Gunsmithing Barrel lenght

Im a bit unsure about the effects of barrel lenght. If we simplify things quite a bit I understand that most centerfire rifles need a barrel near 22-24" to be accurate enough. Why did the Remington xp100 do so well with only a 10" barrel?

Rifle Scopes zeiss adjustments gone south?

Went out with my 22. with a Zeiss conquest sitting on top of it. After first 5 shots it was was well high, 5" at 50yds or so. So I started adjusting it down. After 20 clicks I tried again. The impact had only moved about 1 inch! So I did another 20 clicks but then it had moved little more than...

Can you steer me to a simple, lightweight backpack just enough to carry a typical hunting rifle, not much more?

Hello guys.... Whats the minimum lenght a barrel has to be to stabilize a 243 bullet, say 80 grain? Here´s the skinny. Ive never done this before and Id like to build my first rifle (with the help of a gunsmith), something to take on days camping trips. So light/compact is the key. Im...
