My shooting partner tried a new powder today and got a blown primer. The rifle will not fire, just a light click from the bolt. Rifle is a Surgeon built 300WM with a Jewell trigger. Did all i knew to do except take trigger apart. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Loading 72.5gr/H1000, Berger 230gr hybrid (2825fps). Question is does speed seem about right or is chrony off? Tried 73.0gr and primers started to flatten a bit.
Are competition seater dies (Redding) worth the extra money? I tried a set out and bullet seems to seat easier than my normal RCBS seater. I get shavings sometimes and think it is from bullet not properly aligned. Any input would be appreciated. THANKS
When seating bullets I get copper shavings from undersized necks. The loads are 6.5 grendel semi-auto. Question is what options are best to eliminate this problem so I will not lose proper neck tension for the semi-auto. Using FL redding die. THANKS
I have a Stiller TAC 30 that hits my trigger finger when I shoot due the swept back handle. Changed to small bolt knob and have same problem. Does anyone know a machinist that can alter this handle or should I try another style action. Stiller does not have a remedy. THANKS
Just wondering if anyone knows where to buy handles for old style Lee auto-prime? Down to one handle. Next question is which handheld priming tool is considered the best? Kinda would like to stay away from Lee for simple reason of no spare parts. THANKS
