I'd put my money on rain or snow most days in November . It's always wet weather when I whitetail hunt up there . Not to complain though . It gets them moving . You may not see any bears but always keep an eye on the cats and dogs . They are everywhere .

Great job! I love Idaho short range cow hunts myself . Handgun is about the only weapon left for me to try . So far I've taken a few with a shotgun and a pair with blackpowder and archery . Pistol would be a hoot .

I'm out of Idaho . We have seen more bears this year than I have seen in the last 10 . Lots of big ones too . That is a nice bear ! One of my buddies drew a spot and stalk tag in a hard to get unit . As soon as his is down we will start on the rest . Should be an awesome year for bears !

Not a fan of eating older bears . Grainy and greasy . I like to shoot a meat bear from time to time and I make jerky out of most of them . What isn't jerky is cut thin into small steaks . I soak them in salt water to get the grease out then marinate and grill on hardwood or kabob .. I shoot 'em...

Wondering if anyone has used WST for 124gr 9 loads . Seems like it would be clean , burn rate is fine . I'm out of the shotgun loading and was thinking a couple of pounds of wst would really stretch on 9 loads .

Re: Lets see them bucks! My 2012 Idaho mulie . 120yds . Got this buck with a 7x57 mauser with my 150gr Nosler Ballistic tip load . Not huge but I shot him the last weekend of season in the heart of the Elmer Fudd zone . I can be proud of that !
