Did the Fire Dept. get them wet? Some of the foam they use is pretty corrosive. Bought a pistol from a fire once. Fire didn't hurt it, but the foam did.

Holland makes a reticle thats all MOA. I've got a couple in Mrk 4 scopes. I'm used to MOA (old hi-power shooter) so it works well for me. Tubb also makes a reticle in MOA and I think they're putting it in Leupolds now as well. Holland Shooting Supply and Superior Shootng Systems.

I have a couple of ESEE knives and am very impressed with them. They are very well built and hold an edge well. I use the 5" to clean game and the 4" is on my bunker gear at the FD. Good knives!

I've got three sets of alumina covers ,and yes they are expensive, but so far they have worked well. So far I've not broken them, and I've been pretty hard on them. Lots of coyote hunting and hard use. Just my 2 cents.

Re: eastern nm/west texas shoots? There are a couple of matches each year between Logan and San Jon NM. One in June, one in October. Competition Dynamics puts them on. Usually two or three day matches.

Re: Butler Creek Flip-ups flimsy and breaking Common problem unfortunatley. I RO'd a stage at a match last year where shooters had to shoot thru various barracades and saw LOTS of broken scope covers on that stage. Mostly objective covers.
