I’m setting my MF Tripod up as a shooting platform. Looking for recommendations for a QD mounting plate/solution that would work with the Manfrotto 322 RC2 and the Pig or Hog Saddle. Thanks.

I use 24.1 N140 with the 77 SMK. I get 2640 FPS from a 18” barrel. Average .6 moa and not as compressed as the Varget load.

Could you tell me what height/model Badger unimount you are using?

Really like this Criterion barrel. Been shooting it a lot lately.

I have two of their MK12 complete uppers and have been very happy with the accuracy. Just like my bolt guns I build a load for them and has been pretty easy to get them to shoot the 69 SMKs and the 77 SMKs. Both guns will consistently shoot in .6s with known accuracy loads.

^^^ yep I have seen people go that high but it’s definitely hot and very compressed. I went up to 24 Varget and that was compress some as well.

I have a load that is 2654 FPS avg. with the 77SMK and N140 that groups .53 avg as well. The Varget load has the same accuracy but much slower.

I was able to chronograph that load today. 2538 avg.

Thanks for the informed replies. My chronograph is at another location. I know that 23.5- 24 is a common load for service rifle and wanted to get some idea what others have for speed.

Remington brass, 7.5 BR primers. I worked up to 24 grns Varget. All groups were sub moa but the 23.5 was clearly the best grps.

I have worked up a good load with the 77 smk and 23.5 Varget. All groups together average.51 moa. Its going to be awhile before I can get back to the range to chrono. Any guess what FPS I should be getting? AR 15 BCM SS 18” barrel 1/8 twist

Maybe the 162 ELD M would be a closer comparison.

I have a good load for my 7mm08 with the 162 Amax using H4350. I still have a few hundred left but I want to start transitioning to the 162 ELD X. For those of you that may have done this was the work up comparable (same powder same OAL)?

I really like the MCS T stock, in fact I am changing all my rifles to it. I have tried a lot of different stocks and this one works best for me in all positions. My hunting rifles are getting the Manners EH2 which is like the MCS T in a lighter package.

Take a look at the Hog Saddle LoopHole sling, simple, easily adjustable, light, and the correct width 1.25"

Just received my EH2 stock with BDL Mini Chassis and no instructions. Is it the same torque for the action screws as the standard fill stock with mini chassis and badger bottom metal 65/45 ? Also did not receive action screws so it must use the factory ones??

They both shoot very well. Getting 1/2 MOA has been easy with the right loads. That little 708 is the most consistently accurate rifle I own, it has shot everything I have tried to include factory hunting ammo.
