At least you have the rifle option. Illinois is stuck with either a shotgun, pistol, or muzzleloader. I may be wrong but Indiana just started to allow hunting with suppressors too didnt they? Indiana cant be all bad.
My vote goes to CMMG or Smith and Wesson. Either one would be a good shooter. There always the option to build too. Mega Arms is a great starting point for 308 builds and Palmetto State Armory is supposed to be coming out with 308 receiver sets.
Welp, that's northern Illinois for you. (No offense gimpy) most of us down here would gladly give cook county to michigan.... Or cut it off and push it into the lake.
Personally I thought the movie was great. The armorers did a great job with all the kits, correct optics/reticles. The stunt work during the fall down the mountain was pretty awesome. I feel the movie did a pretty good job of showing what those guys went through. I agree too, that I've never...
Given any thoughts to the Vepr rifles? they can be had from 7-800 in 223, 308, and x54R. Super Veprs even have a longer fluted barrel. They use heavy rpk receivers and heavy barrels. Throw on a Parabellum ARAK top cover and scope of your choice.
Found a used Waffen Werks AK74, jams 2-3 out of every circle-10 mag I have. Came with tapco mags too but havent even tried those. It almost seems like the tolerances are too tight on it, the receiver wont let the back of the mag seat properly. Seems like everyone else that has a WW rifle...
I live in Southern Illinois and I've never seen anything like that in small game, (knock on wood) but Ive seen the ones in the nasal passages of deer. Pretty nasty looking little buggers but the meat was still fine.
I agree that your level/style of training should determine the type of knife you carry. Look up kerambit fighting videos on youtube, pretty impressive stuff. The Spartan cqb/benchmade socp dagger both look to be pretty similar as well. I also really like the looks of Iron Hammer Armory blades...
Their suppressors are great, makes my 308 AR sound like a 17hmr. Several friends of mine have done builds with their lowers, no complaints with them at all. I've handled them and they seem pretty sturdy.
Parts are getting easier and easier to find, Rainier Arms always has a lot of 308 ar parts in stock. You dont get the instant satisfaction of purchasing a rifle when you build but the taste is that much sweeter when youre shooting tiny groups on a rifle you put together yourself. I built a...
Started out with a 40 dollar Johnny Stewart caller that worked fairly well, then went to a Primos Turbo Dog caller, very loud, sounds great with a lot of pre set sounds but mouth calls are much more simple and can switch from one call to another faster.
