    I have an Sig 338 can and I run it on my 300WM bolt gun and would run it on a 300 gasser if I had one. I like to run over bored cans on gassers to ( and bolts) to reduce back pressure and reduce chance of end cap strike. I’ve never noticed cans being louder. 9/45 6.5/30cal etc. PB

    BCM is top shelf BCG. I wouldn’t worry about the pitting unless it was horrible. If you run it and it causes problems, replace it otherwise maybe rock on and keep the BCM handy. Or just replace the bolt with BCM bolt. PB
