    Yes too hot, primer is flat and cratered too. Drop it a bit. Also you may get more velocity and less pressure from N565/H1000, they are a bit slower burning than N560. That being said, Norma brass is reputed to be rather soft too.

    NVIsion stuff is very good, and the cores are excellent. They are proven designs that are rugged. Some of the Chinese stuff is very good too. I prefer simple and reliable. Whether a proven and rugged unit that is made in USA is worth it or not in terms of price premium is very individual.

    Mine has a Shilen 1/7.5 twist ratchet rifled barrel. I am hoping the ratchet rifling is gentler on the bullets. I only have 100 rds on mine, and don't shoot long strings of fire, so too soon to see.

    This would be a perfect entry into "reloading lite" for you. All you need bullet puller, a mic, a electronic scale, and a Lee hand press with seating die. Pull all the bullets and collect all the powder. Load cases at lower charge than the original. Reseat bullets to appropriate length. VOILA.
