Re: Rimfire scope help.. I'm very happy with my Weaver... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/598484/...t-reticle-matte For the price it's got great features, glass, and it's mildot. A lot of other rimfire shooters have put this on their rifle.
Re: .17HMR or 22LR I went through the same internal battle when I bought my first rimfire. I wanted the hmr real bad, but the .22lr is the much smarter decision. First it will be a lot quieter with a can since you can shoot subsonic ammo through it. The cost of ammo is no joke, I make a good...
Re: Best of the "bulks"? I spent a couple hours at the range today trying to figure out what my Savage FVSR liked best. The CCI Mini-Mag seemed to be the winner of the non match ammo. I was shooting nickel size 10 shot groups at 50 yards on a gusty day with them.
Re: Savage Mk II BTV and TR .22lr owners I went Savage MK II FVSR with boyds tacticool, dip bottom metal/trigger guard, egw 20moa base, burris xtreme tac low rings, and a weaver tactical 3-10 x 40 mil scope. I got the newest blackhawk bipod as well. Today was my first day on the range with it...
Re: What to do with threaded barrel... I wanted it as a project gun. It is cheaper to buy the fv-sr and put on the boyds tacticool then buy the tr. Also I liked the shorter barrel.
I am working on my winter project a Savage MKII FV-SR. It has a threaded muzzle but in Massachusetts cans are illegal. Is there anything I can put on the front to improve accuracy?
Re: Blackhawk bipod I am newer to shooting, so I don't own any bipods yet. This trainer will mostly live on the bench. I particularly like the traverse motion. Seems like it would be useful. Unless that messes with accuracy or something I don't know about yet. Also a decent amount cheaper...
I've been looking around at alternatives to a harris bipod to put on my .22 trainer. I stumbled upon This It pivots and traverses horizontally. Any reason I wouldn't get this over a harris?
