Actions: Surgeon, Defiant, Badger? Equal in quality?

That sure looks like a forged bolt to me. That is a surgeon action and bolt before machining. My cousin is a machinist as surgeon. Took this pic when he gave me a tour. Sent from NSA wire tapped device.

    Old Style Gunshops

Yes sir I feel your pain. We're fortunate to have a big gun store/indoor range with another opening soon as well here in the okc metro mess but I miss the old gun shops my dad would frequent. The big dedicated gun stores we have are nice but any more the kids they're hiring to work there leave a...

    280AI or 6mm Remington

280 ackley all week and twice on Sunday. Or you could go 6.5-06 ackley as well. The 6mm rem really doesn't offer much much over the 243 except a longer neck. The 280 is a fine cartridge. Can be pushed to 7mm rem mag velocity with less recoil and better barrel life. I love mine I used 280 brass...

Rifle Scopes New Nightforce shv hunting scope

I'm excited by this offering. Anyone know what the weight of a non illuminated version would be ? Couldn't find it in the specs on their website. I have a sporter weight 7stw that I'd like more magnification on but want to keep weight down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brief Brute Cooler Review - Thumbs Up to Ceylon

I've got a 50 qt brute and love it. Tough as nails and holds ice real well. I always put a thin layer of ice on the bottom and toss some rock salt on it then add beverages and or food then cover with ice. I also have a yeti roadie and the damn brute box is roughly the same money for twice the...

I use a lee universal decapping die. Haven't had any problems since I switched. The whole rod assembly pushes up instead of breaking. About 10 bucks online. Hope it helps.
