I would say you should find out what programs your shop uses to produce G-Code (Rhinocam, Mastercam, Solidcam etc.) and start building yourself a 3D model. If you don't have access to any of these digital tools (or somebody who can use them), you can always sketch. It is hard to give advice on...

You'll most likely have to change your zero from gun to gun anyway. It's worth the few minutes to transfer scopes.

The Bushnell 3.5-21 does has a 34mm tube. Perhaps there are slightly less mounting options for 34mm tubes vs. 30mm, but as far as mounting options for a 700LTR, I don't know what options you want besides rings (Badger, Seekins, etc) or one-piece mounts (ADM, Sphur, etc)

I suppose the cartridge you shoot would play a crucial role. eg. .260_fast moving light bullet vs .308_slow and heavy. you might not "need" the extra elevation but as long as you can achieve your desired zero, I don't see how more elevation could hurt.

I'm very happy with my HDMR G2. In contrast to the PST, I believe the glass, elevation travel (34mil vs 19 mil), size (13.2" vs 15.5"), and reticle have much to offer. I have shot a PST several times and while I enjoyed shooting it, I feel as though the $300 might be worth the investment.
