Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock 43 or sig 365

I am interested in the Sig, but have seen too many reports of issues with Sigs. Not just the 365, but kinda all of them (I was issued a Sig when I got into LE, and it was a disaster of a pistol). The 365 had several issues, but recent ones are alleged to have fixed most of them. Same with the...

    R700 chassis $500 max?

I have two KRG Bravos - one on a 700, one on a Tikka T3x. I can’t say enough good about them. But they do not seem to get along with the Magpul AICS mags. That’s simple - get metal mags from KRG and be done with it. Both of mine also have the spigot mount and the Harris bipod mount (makes it...

    Tikka T3 Thread

I wanted to pile on the info here. I’ve had my Tikka CTR .308 for about a month, most of it in a KRG Bravo chassis (the same as my semi-custom 700 because I like the chassis and so my comparison would be as close to apples to apples as I could afford). The more I shoot this Tikka, the less I...

Rifle Scopes GAP Deal on Bushnell LRHS Scopes

I got my second one. This time it came with the MUT tool. I had no real use for one, but I have a son on active duty as a combat engineer in the Marines. It has been passed on to him. I did notice the slightly angled arrow on the turret. I don't care enough to screw with it. I slapped it on my...

Greatest semi-auto battle rifle in history..

This thread is exactly what I thought it would be before I clicked on it. The M14 is the greatest killing implement that was ever devised, except when you actually start looking at it. It was a great M1 Garand PIP when the world had moved on. Nothing more. It didn’t last long for a reason. It...

    .224 Valkyrie function help

My tracking number says the 90gr Fusion will be here Friday. I hate waiting. 3 whole days! I also have my first subsonic .308 coming in since I got my can our of ATF jail. I think if I sleep for 3 days straight the time will go faster.

Rifle Scopes GAP Deal on Bushnell LRHS Scopes

I ordered my second about a week or so ago. It let me pay, but it hasn’t shipped yet. I’m curious about that. Last one I bought, I paid extra for 2nd day shipping, then it didn’t ship for a week. Not sure how that works. I’m more used to outfits that ship the day you order or the next. But I...

    .224 Valkyrie function help

Just to let everyone know, it seems to be running like a champ since I opened up the gas port. Locks open the bolt on the last shot and everything. Wish I could find federal 90gr match ammo somewhere. I'm not a reloader, so factory is it for me. The 88gr Hornady still suck. It made me feel...

    Tikka T3 Thread

I tried some 168 Fed GMM today. Shot one group. Right at 3/4 MOA. Then it started raining so hard I couldn’t see my target. So I guess that’s good enough to say it’s shot 3/4 MOA every time I’ve shot FGMM.

    Tikka T3 Thread

Well, you losers on this thread made me do it. I bought a CTR .308 (because I have so much ammo for it). It’s lighter than I thought it would be. I’ve only shot 168gr AMAX through it so far. I’d say it’s a 1 MOA 5 shot gun with this stuff in it’s current setup. I don’t find the stock fits me...

    .224 Valkyrie function help

Well, ow it runs fine with the 75gr stuff. It still won’t cycle the 88 gr stuff. Weird. It ejects the case, but doesn’t pick up another with the Hornady. I only shot 10 shots each, so maybe things will loosen up a bit with use. Had things to do. If it continues to choke on the Hornady, I’ll open...

    .224 Valkyrie function help

Gas port was around .070. I opened it up to .092 and will give it a shot tomorrow (pun intended).

    .224 Valkyrie function help

The buffers were on the colt carbine lower, H buffer with standard factory spring. On the rifle lower, it was standard buffer and spring (Armalite factory rifle). It works with neither, so I don't think that's the issue. Time to start looking at port sizes. Thanks guys.

    .224 Valkyrie function help

I decided to jump on this bandwagon because I'm weak-willed. I put together an upper (bought it complete from BCM), added a criterion 1-6.5 22" barrel, torqued it to the upper per instructions, and added the necessary bits (rifle-length gas tube, low profile gas block. Barrel came pre-dimpled...

Rifle Scopes GAP Deal on Bushnell LRHS Scopes

Apparently I'm not very bright. I ordered one, and nothing happened on the screen for several seconds. I hit the order button again. It said there was a problem, and to contact the seller. I called. He said to try again. So I did. 4 times. Apparently, during all of this I got a confirmation...

    New bling from KRG

Would totally do it if someone could show me how. Since photobucket went away for non-paying cheap-asses like me, I haven't been able to post pics.

    New bling from KRG

I understand what you're saying, but not sure how just the cheek piece plays into it. It would be very dependent on position, scope height, and a host of other factors. It is also very squared off when you take it off, and there is a divot that you'd have to fit your cheek into perfectly. If...

    New bling from KRG

The cheek riser is much easier to adjust, but mine required very little to set it just right for me. I prefer the feel of the cheek piece to the angular, cold aluminum of the McRees - even when both are covered by a stock pack. The rear bag is easier to use on the KRG - again subjective...

    Gunsmithing Sako Green?

I'm bringing this back from the dead. Are there any other options other than duracoat? I have a rifle that was previously cerakoated a different color that I would like to get as close as I can to Sako green to match the new KRG stock. Any leads on something that is close? I don't want to have...

    New bling from KRG

I got my Sako green KRG Bravo last week, and love it. Took a bit to set it up like I want (sling mounts, butt spacers, etc), but I really like the results. My rifle lost weight going from the McRees chassis to this, and i like the ergos MUCH better. I've only shot it prone and off a bench, but I...
