    Winchester Model 88 question

Re: Winchester Model 88 question I had to Google "Google-fu". I get it now. I Googled "go to guy for the 88" and it came back with Michael Danberry. I looked for info on this a few years back but lost interest in it. I recently joined the Hide and thought I would put it out and see if anyone...

    Winchester Model 88 question

Looking for feed back. I have a Winchester 88 barreled action which my father used for many years. He broke the stock so there is no wood. He bought the gun in the 1960's. It has been setting in my gun safe for many years and is in pretty rough shape. It hasn't been shot in over twenty years. I...

Sidearms & Scatterguns What knife would you recommend

Re: What knife would you recommend I have owned two CRKT knives. I use them on duty and never had a problem. They are reasonably priced and offer folding and fixed blade. They have held their edge very well.

    Manners stock paint

Re: Manners stock paint I haven't put the clear to it yet. Sledge Hammer painted his T5 yesterday and used a satin clear coat (I forget the brand). He advised the shine as minimal. It looks very nice. I screwed up my camo pattern the first time so I had to go back over it. Pics coming soon...

    Manners Mini chassis

Re: Manners Mini chassis I went with a T5 without mini Chassis. I am going with Surgeon bottom metal rather than Badger. I like the smaller mag release on the Surgeon better for hunting. I bought one from their web site and painted it myself. It was actually very simple to paint so don't wait...

    Question on M-16 barrel work

Re: Question on M-16 barrel work Thanks Flyer. I am leaning that way. Looks like I could sell my existing barrel and buy an upgraded barrel with the money I would spend cutting the old one.

    Question on M-16 barrel work

Re: Question on M-16 barrel work Yes. It's a duty weapon and a year ago I purchased a new upper with a 16" barrel. It originally had a 14.5" barreled upper. I want to shorten the gun and install a Noveske suppressor. I did not want to purchase a new barrel if I can have the current barrel...

    Question on M-16 barrel work

I am looking for input. I have a 16" barrel on a full auto M-16. I want to have the barrel cut to 10.5" to 11". Do I need a larger gas tube for it to cycle properly? My first post. Thanks for your help.
