    DMPS AR-10

Re: DMPS AR-10 I will definitely check that out. The ejector felt fairly stout but I'll give it more attention along with the ejector when I tear it back down.

Re: DMPS AR-10 Alright I've been shooting since I was a toddler but not any in depth learning on the inner workings of firearms....so I'm gonna ask a lot of questions.... What exactly should I look for on the extractor? How can I make the trigger more smooth/crisp w/o buying a drop in?

Re: DMPS AR-10 Okay...dumb question...running wet means???? Lubing the crap out of it w/o wiping the excess?

    DMPS AR-10

Re: DMPS AR-10 I stripped the upper down all the way down to the firing pin. I don't recall inspecting the extractor as close as you recommended though. I will check it closer.

    DMPS AR-10

Re: DMPS AR-10 From a full mag to half mag to 5 rounds. The other day I shot a hog and took 1 shot w/Fed Premium 168 gr Sierra match king and it jammed after the 1st rnd.(BTW she dropped in her tracks!! Thank goodness!) And yes pretty much since the 1st day. I thought it was just a "break in"...

Re: DMPS AR-10 It is a factory dpms sportical carbine in .308 Just left the range about 50 rds lighter with no jamming. I guess the rings on the back of the bolt face are called gas rings. Well I adjusted them a considerable amount away from each other and tied 3 coils on the recoil buffer...

Re: DMPS AR-10 I moved the gas rings on bolt dither apart and headed to the range now.

Re: DMPS AR-10 Yes I did check the extractor and spring but will double check. Didn't want to send it in but will check into that as well. Thanks fella's!

    DMPS AR-10

Re: DMPS AR-10 No it does not. it always ends up like a double feed. Spent casing on top and new round feeding from bottom.

    DMPS AR-10

Re: DMPS AR-10 As a matter of fact i purchased 2 magpul mags thinking it would help....but not so much. I'm curious if maybe the recoil spring is to tight?

    DMPS AR-10

I am new here and have a question. I am shooting a dpms panther lr 308 carbine sportical and experiencing a jamming issue. Once fired the spent cartridge does not fully eject and it tries to chamber a fresh round. Does anyone have any thoughts?
