last spring i picked up this Savage 111LRH in 338 Lapua thinking i'd focus on long range hunting. i spent many hours working on the gun & mucho $$ doping it out to 1k...... then i shot this raghorn at less than 75 yards. i seem to either see no elk, or have them walk right over the top of me...

i feel ridiculous having a $500 dollar vx-II 6-18 on my 10/22. who else is running a scope worth over 2x as much as their 22? and why? i love the way it shoots with the loopy on, but have a hard time rationalizing the idea of keeping it on there.
