I have a set on my .223. mine is a Rem 700 VSF, EGW 0 MOA base with a Vortex Viper 6.5-20, and I have the high rings. They were actually too high, but in my neck of the woods, it was easier to just order an adjustable comb kit. Good rings for a decent price.
Well, I went and Picked up my Nightforce scope for my .308 on Friday... the shop just had to have an AR30 in .338 Lapua... The scope tapped me out, but it's on layaway for me now!
Re: I got it... send me a link so I can have a look then please scratch that... I see someone already did... and with the exception of the Larue, they all appear to be 34mm...
Re: I got it... Joe, you want to spend the extra money on it and give it to me, you do that. But for me, the rail is brand new and I intend to work with it as is. I have money going enough ways that buying ANOTHER new mount is out of the question. I'll buy rings and lap if necessary.

Re: I got it... Mitch, I did the checks for that. There was no gap under the rail. if there had been, torquing it down would have bowed it out rather than give me a slight (barely noticeable, but there) dip over the ejection port. Like I said, I'll check with alignment bars once I get rings...
Re: I got it... well no shit it won't be level... but the point is there is an ever so slight bend in it. throw a straight edge on it and there's a gap in the middle while contacting the edge on both ends of the rail. I don't know how much more clearly that can possibly be stated.
Picked up my first Nightforce scope. It's an NXS 3.5-15x50 without ZeroStop. Now I just need rings... I stuck a level on my rail though, and noticed there's a slight dip in the center... Unless there's something that can be done about that, it looks like I'll probably have to lap my rings...
Re: Weatherby Magnum action options firstly, what kind of accuracy is it actually delivering, and what is your accuracy goal? secondly, what have you done to it to try to improve accuracy already?
Re: new build for me this year... I'll probably order a US Optics for my Remmy .308 and move the nightforce to this one... or maybe I'll just put a US optics on this one instead... I'll cross that bridge when I come to it
Re: new build for me this year... don't have a trigger picked out, there will be no muzzle device as I hate brakes and can't own a suppressor here in canuckistan...
It's going to be a .260 Rem, built off a stiller action, MDT Tac21 chassis, and likely a Broughton or Krieger barrel. Any suggestions on what else to add to it?
Wondering what you other Nightforce owners are running for ring height and make with your rifles. Just ordered the Nightforce 20MOA Picatinney rail for my rem 700 short action. Have yet to make a decision on rings though.
