Gunsmithing gas gun turns into bolt gun
Yeah sorry bout that, but the way you described above should serve the same purpose. I've seen regular gas rings go bad after a couple hundred rounds on occasion, not sure if they were just a bad set or if there were issues with the bolt carrier. I know you said you replaced various bcg parts, and I could be way off on this, but what do the gas rings on the bolt look like? Can you extend the bolt out in the bolt carrier, unlocked position, and place it on a table bolt down and it stay in the unlocked position while supporting the weight...- Hos777

Range Report Load development
I'm not real great at explaining things, so I apologize in advance. That's fairly normal unless you have a really short sight height. If the sight height on your rifle is around 2-2.5" above the bore, which I'd say is pretty common, and the rifle had been zeroed at 100y, then the bullet should...- Hos777

Couple questions about Alpha 6.5CM brass.
pinzmann- I run a 6.5 SLR as well, use Lapua brass and hate having to turn necks. I take it that you're not having any donut issues and neck turning is unnecessary with alpha brass so far? mustang-cars- My apologies, not trying to highjack. Hos- Hos777
