    No Lot# on Varget

So I had the opportunity to try out this new jug of Varget yesterday. The environmental conditions were spot on compared to previous test conditions. This new jug produces slower velocities from why I can see. My normal max charge on the old lot was at 45.5 grn (heavy bolt lift), but was non...

    No Lot# on Varget

More than likely what I’ll do. Start off with a ladder to see where it’s at on velocity and pressure then go from there. Out of all the Varget I’ve used, I have never seen anything like this.

    No Lot# on Varget

Just cracked open the jug and noticed that this Varget looks like crap. Now I’m a little concerned. Not uniform at all compared to the other jugs of Varget I have on hand. First pic is of the jug without the lot# next to the current Varget I’m running. Second pic is of the jug without lot...

    No Lot# on Varget

Thanks fellas. The seals and labeling look gtg, just thought it was odd that it was missing the lot# and such. I’ll run a ladder and compare it to the current lot I’m using.

    No Lot# on Varget

What I was thinking as well. Work back up to my normal load to see if there are any issues. Saw on other forums that it has happened a few times, but no one really went into details on the performance side of it…consistency, etc.

    No Lot# on Varget

Just got a new 8 lb jug of Varget in today and noticed that there is not a lot# or date code anywhere…nada. Saw on other forums that it has happened in the past. Anyone here on the hide experience this before? If so; curious to know if it shot good or not. Maybe the guy in charge of stamping...

    Homemade Induction Annealer

Halffull Sorry for not responding. I built mine to mimic the AMP annealer. I don’t do mass quantities, so I did not see a need for doing an auto feed or drop system. Each case is loaded into the top via shell holder and when it is done, I just pull the shell holder and case out. I imagine...

    Homemade Induction Annealer

Update.... Ran another test on 40 cases without the temp probe installed. It seems that the temp probe may have cause a little eddy's current being close to the leads. All cases tested were back in the range of 8.0-8.4A and the wattage stayed between 340-350 watts. Tampilaq on all the cases...

    Homemade Induction Annealer

I ran a batch of 50 cases on it this morning to see how it would performed on a somewhat large batch. The only issue I encountered was every now and then the amps and watts would spike to the low 12A / low 500W range. During previous testing it would only peak at 8.2-8.5A at 310-330W. This...
