    OP forget all that shit I said about getting a SCAR 20. Get one of those HK’s! Sure they are more money and objectively worse in every way but the cool/collectible factor can’t be ignored.

    I’ve got the same barrel. I had ADCO cut it to 16” and reprofile it for the Ops inc 12th model. That barrel profile makes for a really light and handy rifle.

    My sample size of one says yes. I shot my SCAR 20s over the chrono when it was brand new and got some good dope in AB that was getting me hits out to 1100yds. Shot various ammo for groups at 100yds(mostly without a chronograph) and then next time I shot long range was a little local match...

    SCAR 17 (DMR) OR SCAR 20

    16” vs 20” in 308 or 6.5 isn’t 200+ FPS difference. Don’t know where you found that chart but 175smk from a 16.5” is doing better than 2387 with any factory load and barrel I’ve tried.
