+1 that was my experience as well. The turrets are not as crisp on XTRII, but fully functional and a more practical zero stop.

My buddy has taken deer without issue with a win model 94 .357 I have taken many with a 94 in .44 mag. I like that I recovered all the animals quickly and have found about half of the slugs under the skin on the far side of the animal after smashing bones. Sounds like a fun project to me...

Burris XTR II Rifle Scopes So I got an hour in the field to compare the vortex pst and the xtrii 5-25. The turret adjustment feel on the pst has an edge with detent feel, but not sure it's apples to apples with mils per rotation if that matters to you. The reticle could go either way...

XTRII Zero stop is nice and is set with an hex key. Sight it, takes less than a minute to set it, done and shoot...

All in all pretty good. 5-25 model. The clicks are audible but feel slightly rounded between each one. I have to focus with ear plugs to count. I will compare to vortex next time out. Glass seems pretty good, and all the adjustment knob travel is smooth and has enough but not too much...

Update, now my 5-25 is expected to ship late June. Looks like it won't get much use until the crops are out.

They did not send a tracking number via email and a package has not showed up yet. Not convinced that it actually shipped.

I am surprised that the high standard supermatic tournament has not made the list, along with colt huntsman. Then again, I can't convince myself to thread the one in my safe.
