Are the spotter tracer complete cartridges? The bottoms of the ones shown look like projos only. I live in henderson as well. If these were bought around 2004 or so I was in on the buy. As received they were not resized and had cut marks from pull down but were usable. Tracers were a 50% chance...
I know there is no love lost on this board for Steyr but you mentioned it. I have an SSG-68, 04, and 08. I would get the M1 but haven't yet justified it already having the other 3. Rather than piecing together a bunch of parts and hoping they work, I would rather buy a gun that shoots right out...
Hi, All. I have searched everywhere and can not find a definitive answer for the muzzle brake threads for a SSG-04 in 300 WM and SSG-08 in 308. I have seen both 5/8x24 and M18x1 and M18x1 LH. If someone knows the real specs I would sure appreciate it. I was looking at suppressors but I really...
How does military 300WM brass (FC) compare to other brands? I know it's only once fired from a bolt gun that probably has good specs. One would think they should be pretty decent since they have to meet Mil Spec. Thanks, E_T_G
I have a set of RCBS plain Janes, a set of Redding deluxe (dond't really care for them) The RCBS Charge Master RCSS seem to get good reviews. I've always full sized but do have issues with case separation after a whils
I tried to order the RCBS MatchMaster – Neck Size Bushing Die Set. They were out of that die set in 308 and said they should be in the middle of September. When I went back to check they indeed were out of stock. I also saw a full length die set - MatchMaster – Full Length Bushing Die Set. My...
I will agree with Rocketmanb on the not using Hornady spray lube. As for range brass, out in the desert you find the box for Remington 30-06. The plastic shell holders laying on the ground along with 15-20 nice and shiny Remington 30-06 cases. I think the chances of it being once fired are...
I'll try to cover all in one post. The brass looked like once fired - picked up in the desert, the box and inside shell holders tossed aside. I couldn't see any signs the cases had ever been resized. I de-capped and wet tumbled them. I was using the FL resizing die from the Redding 3 die premium...
I have some lanolin and alcohol lubricant I can try but why so hard in the Redding and not the Lee. If it's sizing it down more than needed it will work harden the brass faster. Tomorrow I am going to try some brand new Winchester cases and see what it does.
Hi All. I decided to spring for the 3 die Redding Premium dies for 300 Win Mag. The cases were Federal and had been wet tumbled after decapping. This was the first time I used One Shot lube. I sprayed top and bottom halves of the cartridges using loading block. Let them dry for a little over an...
Glow biscuit??? Not sure what you mean by that. Back in 2012 I was actively shooting 50 cal, building AKs and HKs. Along came grandkids and that took priority. Now I'm retired, have the time, but the damn dem governor and legislators made almost all my 50 cal stuff illegal and banned all home...
From feed back on Gunbroker and Guns America he has had 5 positive feed backs in June 23. I replied to sender on Guns America with an offer which he accepted. Now it has all the indications of a scam - only non-retractable payments Zelle or wire transfer but not to him - wire transfer to someone...
A guy has almost 900 sales with a perfect record so I didn't think much about scams. There was one feedback that said sent money and never received gun just a week earlier. The feedback changed to as described but slow in shipping. Leaving feedback at two weeks was a little fast to me but they...
Thanks for your replies. I know the difference between the reticles. I have a NSX, Horus Vision, and a FFP viper PST. Personally target shooting I prefer the FFP. But I didn‘t know if there was an advantage for one when actually in the field shooting at somerhing that can run away. Doing math in...
Hi, All. I have read until my eyes hurt and just can't get this to click in my head. I have shot paper for over 60 years and I know how to work up a load and get the best groups I can. Hasn't mattered much to me if it was FFP or SFP shooting at a stationary target. What I have little experience...
