sub-sonic .308 load for Bushmaster 308 Hunter with TB 30-P1 suppressor

150 to 180 gr. depending on input that I get. I like heavy bullets. In my experience there's no replacement for displacement. I'm sure there are plenty of examples of why that's not true which is why I'm here asking before purchasing bullets.

sub-sonic .308 load for Bushmaster 308 Hunter with TB 30-P1 suppressor

A concept I had not considered. I definitely don't need to go subsonic as I can think of few environments where that would actually help. In my experience even the subsonics make enough noise to scare off a pack of hogs with the first shot. Thanks for the input, I won't pursue subsonic.

sub-sonic .308 load for Bushmaster 308 Hunter with TB 30-P1 suppressor

I just picked up a Bushmaster .308 Hunter rifle. This is my first .308 and I have no experience loading for this caliber. Initially I will use the factory 20" barrel, but eventually I will downsize to a 16.5" barrel. I currently have a Thunder Beast 338BA silencer that I'll be using (simply...

Suppressors How much time between error letter and stamp?

I had two SBR applications kicked back to me for caliber being listed as "CAL.223-5.56mm" EXACTLY as it was stamped on the side of the original Bushmaster AR lowers. The ATF wanted me to pick a caliber. It took just about 4 weeks to get the stamp after dropping the correction in the mail.

    Suppressors Thunder Beast Suppressor

I'm about to purchase another TBAC suppressor. I have the 338BA, but now it's time for a .30 can. I am trying to decide between the 30p-1 and the 30ps. Any thoughts on this? Is there a significant difference in sound reduction between these two? Is the extra two inches and weight worth the...

Leprechaun, do you know how the MIRS attaches to the rifle? Does it only attach to the action?

Night Vision Specs on McCann SIRS

Hogstooth, are you able to get a measurement of the diameter of the hole in it? Does it appear to have enough material to be able to machine it to 1.25"? I'm not familiar with the barrels you listed. My barrel does taper, but it starts out 1.25" and ends 30" later at 1".

Night Vision Specs on McCann SIRS

I am wondering if somebody could tell me what the diameter of the hole for the barrel in the McCann SIRS is? I need something with a 1.25" diameter for the barrel and when I call McCann the woman who answers the phone is extremely difficult to deal with. The extent of her technical knowledge is...

RCBS crapped out tried the Thumbler.... WOW

Re: RCBS crapped out tried the Thumbler.... WOW I have had difficulty getting all the water removed from the media after use. When I pour the water out, some of the stainless rods want to go with it. I bought the 9.5" one of these...

    Suppressors GemTech PSR 338

Re: GemTech PSR 338 I have this suppressor. I bought it about a year and a half ago, but used it for the first time a couple of days ago. It's the only .338 suppressor I've used, so I don't know how it compares to other .338 suppressors. I can say that it reduces the sound of the rifle to...
