    Re: possible rare find at flea market today? The Pattern 14 (P14) in 303 British is a little better piece to start with as the rimmed cartridge required a larger bolt face, so the bolt is already sized for a magnum cartridge...just the extractor would need to be modified. The internal box...

    Re: 7.62x54R cheap shooter Finnish M27's, M28's, M28/30's or M39's will be the best shooting of any MN variant. There are plenty of good shooting M91 & M91/30 Czarist/Soviet rifles out there though. By far, the best M44's are the Polish.
