Re: Question for long time shooters Thanks for the replys guys. I have shot it and it seems to do really good so far. I havent got to shoot it past 100 yards yet but hopefully that will change soon. Eventually I want to get the Remington 700 or even a CZ550 but for now the Savage is good.

Recently I have decided to try to start shooting long range (beyond 500 yards). I wanted to get a Remington 700 sps however with 3 kids my budget didnt allow it. I ended up getting a Savage Axis in 308. Now after reading reviews on it I see that some shooters like it and others kinda look down...
