There is a semi descent entry level spotting scope made by redfield it is in the $250 range it will get you a good start, it is close on par with my Vortex nomad spotting scope.

Alright just sold my 300 Win Mag 5R and considering building a short action switch barrel rifle. Would like to know from anyone who has built or owned a switch barrel rifle how they liked it, pro's and con's and anything you might of done differently. Thanks.

Re: jewell vs timney for rem 700 SA Love my Jewell triggers, but as others have said the Timney is great to. Try to shoot the two different types on someone's rifle prior to making your decision, if your not sure. Most fellow shooters are glad to let others try there equip.
