I want to hunt deer this year with my 308 and/or 6.5 CM ARs, but often there is not time for hearing protection when hunting deer. What would you guys recommend as a muzzle device to replace the comp I target shoot with that will be softer on the ears?

When my rifle goes into battery the firing pin is leaving a mark on the primer. It is a 6.5 CM DPMS variant. Is the buffer spring too stiff? Is the headspace at the edge of being incorrect? The gun is firing fine with no malfunctions otherwise.

I just finished building a 6.5 CM with DPMS receivers. I couldn't find any bolts/carriers in stock so I ordered my parts including my barrel, built the gun and then just this week found some bolts coming back in stock. Ordered a DPMS bolt/chrome carrier from Rainier. Came in today, dropped it...
