    No problem to see the bullet splash at 1000m in my leupold M1 16x40. Little cartridges are cheap, accurate and bring you fun/challenge/difficulty, stuff like that...the goal is to deal/play with wind to hit the gong at the FIRST shot!! Shooting .338, similar or more powerfull are soooooo...

    Bonjour Quickoz, I used to shoot my 6br (Lothar W. 26", ~2790fps with lapua manufactured ammo scenar 105gr) at 1000m. Group was 40cm (7 shot), about 1 1/3 MOA...without wind (maybe 1m/s, like nothing). Later i reloaded with berger VLD 105, 2850fps but never tryed it at 1000m... i'm sure...

    Gunsmithing Rem700 BDL wood stock and heavy barrel?

    Hi! I am wondering if there is any difficulty to fit a heavy barrel (like M24 contour) in a wood stock originaly made for a varmint barrel. I am thinking of took off some wood (with the appropriate tool!) to make the space for the heavy barrel. Thanks for your help. Fabien.

    Bonjour everybody! I own a rem700 fit on a AICS stock, the barrel lenght is 26", contour is like M24: the gun is SO heavy, and the balance not good. I use it to shoot prone with a rest bag, that is fine. But i also would like to shoot offhand and sitting, for me it's impossible with this gun...
