Re: Knife metals?
If you're referring to the lansky system with the rods to keep a constant angle, I know I had it too. I've had them all; crock sticks, Arkansas Stones, Diamond stones, ceramics. Nothing works like that Works sharp system.
Re: Knife metals?
I like 154cm. Most of my benchmades were it too. If you have a good sharpening system, it keeps a great edge for a decent while. I personally use the Works sharpener. By far the best sharpener I've ever used.

Re: I think I may have a problem?
My friend drives a Prius to the range. it's funny seeing a suppressed AI AE .308 and a suppressed AR in the back of a Prius.
Re: Form 4 wait time
Oh my god these 6 month guys are killing me. Is anyone else from Texas? Maybe it's the lone star's approval person that is causing me my turmoil.
Re: Form 4 wait time
I just got off the phone with the shop. Our paperwork error bumped us back about 3-4 weeks. Still that was back before thanksgiving. They're saying the ATF is about backlogged about 30,000 forms. There's nothing the shop can do. ****ing ATF.
Re: Form 4 wait time
I put in two forms for two cans a couple days before this past thanksgivng. There was an issue that bumped as back about three weeks and I am still waiting. Getting pretty pissed...
Re: Confused, AAC Mounting Mechanism
I bought the 5/8-24 for my other guns and I am currently looking for a 1/2x28 for my AR. Brownells didn't have any 1/2x28- they are fairly difficult to find. Sorry for the confusion
Re: Audad Hunting
I have a small population of them on my family's ranch. We rarely ever see them and the few times we do try to harvest one, it is VERY difficult. Depending on the terrain where you're hunting them, I would recommend a long range rifle, an excellent pair of boots, and lots of...
Re: West Texas Part 2 (Big Axis)
That's a great buck. Axis sausage and jerky is by far my favorite of any kind of game meat and preparation. Spend the extra dough at the processor, you'll be thankful you did.
Re: Odd Hunting Experiences
I was predator calling on my ranch. We have several different exotics including Fallow Deer. Well they're somewhat tame since we don't hunt them much, so they don't tend to spook easily. tWell one evening I set up my FoxPro on the ground about 10 yards away from...
Re: Confused, AAC Mounting Mechanism
I ordered a Blackout flash hider 51t,7.62 in 5/8-24. I dropped of my AR at the smith today and that is getting threaded in 1/2x28. I asked him about the AK, and he said since its a nightmare to get an AK barrel on a lathe, it would cost me over $300, so I...
Re: Confused, AAC Mounting Mechanism
1.Model number for what specifically?
2.Me too. If not I'll have to scrounge around for an adapter.
3. Excellent.
4. The flash hider I ordered is a 51t. My AR's barrel is not threaded, so I'll just get it threaded to match the flash hider.
So on the way I have an AAC Prodigy and an AAC 762 SDN-6. First off I intend to mount the Prodigy on my SW M&P15-22 Does the Birdcage just screw off and on goes the prodigy? Next, I purchased the 762 with intentions to mount it on multiple rifles. Currently I intend to put it on my Remington...
