Night Vision New FLIR -The RS Dedicated Thermal Weapon Scope- 60mm units just arrived!

I got my 1.1-8. Im very much satisfied with the quality of the image. Externally the build quality seems top notch. If I were to change one thing about this device it would be the view of the image (not the image itself). The screen seems tiny and far away. Here is an image taken holding...

    Rifle Scopes Kahles or ATACR

The major advantage of "f1" is the ability to hold for wind at any magnification... Not so much for mil ranging.

Nice work. Is it possible to change out the mount on the CO-LR to a Larue or Bobro or GDI?

Night Vision New FLIR -The RS Dedicated Thermal Weapon Scope- 60mm units just arrived!

Yes. I have the 1.1-9 FLIR on order. When it gets here the first thing ill put in on is either a suppressed 10/22 or on my Daystate Airwolf.

I really like mine. I have used it on many day optics as well as a PVS-14.

Night Vision New FLIR -The RS Dedicated Thermal Weapon Scope- 60mm units just arrived!

Hi SkyPup, I saw your comparison of the LS64 and the M18 and it made me wonder how does the RS64-35mm compare to those monoculars? I imagine the field of view is reduced to add eye relief? Is the image really as "good" as the M18 or is it more like the LS64? Im going to buy a thermal and the...

    Reaction to a firefight

I can relate to bm11. At point blank range a guy closed his shotgun while it was pointed at me and with his finger in the trigger guard (AT ME, not just my direction). I only looked over because I saw him closing the gun and by that time there was nothing I could do. I thought to myself "bang...

    I'm done with MidwayUSA

300 of the 500 rounds of ammo I last ordered from them where just floating around the box. Thankfully it was just .22lr. I just used it for plinking and kept my mouth shut, until now that is...

Suppressors Thompson Machine The Operative TD (Take-Down Complete Rifle)

The Thompson uses a ported design. Someone from Thompson says so 1 min 10 seconds into this video: Thompson Machine Operative TD Ruger 10/22 Takedown - YouTube I'm looking forward to some accuracy testing.

I guess I hadn't bothered to look in the barrel for a port. Thanks.

Suppressors Thompson Machine The Operative TD (Take-Down Complete Rifle)

Are there any other finish options? It seems like sand blasted finishes will rust in a vacuum. I want one with a ceracoat finish and a multicam stock. My 1911-22 with its AAC element is quieter than my "integral" AWC Badlander to the ears of everyone who shoots them. Thats with minimags. The...

Are Air rifles the pacifier or alternative to ammo availability & cost?

I have a 10/22 with an AAC element and can get away with shooting it in my yard. Segmented hollow points help... but more often than not I reach for one of my Theobens. The shape of the pellet keeps it from carrying very far at all and its only a 30 foot pound gun to begin with. This groundhog...
