Re: TRG 42 trigger There definitely should be some take-up on the first stage just like other two-stage triggers. Lemme look at mine and see how it adjusts... I've never had to mess with it, it came set perfectly for me

Re: Moa at 400 yds? Look at the Springfield Supermatch M1A. I used to have one with the Douglas barrel and it was great. Iron sights were all I needed for 200-300yd shots.

Re: 308 carbine reccomendation. SCAR 17s are going for $4-5k now and .308 ARs are close behind... M1As are $3k... Even FALs are $2-3k. I wish I had an easy answer for $1k for you.... Are you dead-set on a semi-auto? Im sure you could easily get a .308 bolt gun for under $1k.

Re: SIG SAUER Adaptive Carbine Platform (ACP) A buddy of mine has one of these. It's definitely not as easy to install as the video suggests. I didnt care for it personally. I think it needs a stock to ergonomically work well but I think it would be an sbr then?
