Suppressors AK-74 24mm to 1/2x28mm adapter Suppressed firing?

Makes sense, not something that I really want to push it with. I've got 5.56 ARs that I've been running suppressed, just figured it'd be nice to suppress my AK-74 as well. Given the potential can risks incurred, I may just continue to hold out until I can get that rifle in to a legitimate gunsmith.

Suppressors AK-74 24mm to 1/2x28mm adapter Suppressed firing?

I've just been running non corrosive ammunition through my 74, and unfortunately I think that the whole hold on the importation of corrosive 5.45 Russian ammunition will keep it that way. I'm really not overly enthused about the idea of having a suppressor die, but think that an adapter...

Suppressors AK-74 24mm to 1/2x28mm adapter Suppressed firing?

I have a Bulgarian Circle 10 5.45x39 matching parts kit rifle and a Gemtech direct thread 5.56 M4-02 suppressor. I've been thinking about ordering a 24mm to 1/2x28 thread adapter made by CNC Warrior and running my 5.56 can on this rifle. I understand that it's very common for AK threads...

Night Vision ITT nigthvision mounted on riflescope?

Many thanks, this is the first that I've heard of this issue. From all the available information on my pvs-14, I was under the impression that all 5.56 was safe for use with this unit. You may have very well saved me from making a potentially expensive mistake!

Night Vision ITT nigthvision mounted on riflescope?

Peter, so you're saying that the recoil impulse of a suppressed 5.56 piston rifle is stout enough to kill a Pinnacle tube? Is that something that is specific consideration for a piston upper only, or does this apply to 5.55 DI suppressed rifles as well? I've been running a ocularly mounted...

Night Vision TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

I was cruising SWFA today and saw that they had the Pinnacle WASP for sale through Morovision. Morovision WASP Clip-On Night Vision Device Does anyone know anything about these Morovision WASPs? Is this just a TNVC model with Morovision's name on it? Also I wonder if this means that we're...

Rifle Scopes Night Force Baseline Advice Wanted

I currently have a older Night Force NXS 3.5-15x50 with .25MOA windage and elevation adjustments. For whatever reason this optic has baselines on the windage turret, but none on the elevation. This proves problematic as it's mounted on a .308 and requires over 1 rotation to dial in anything over...

    Shooting from seated pos.

Re: Shooting from seated pos. I'm a really big fan of the shooting tripods made by Precision Rifle Solutions. I have their SSP-1 rifle-rest head with a large tripod and I've been very happy with it. Works great for coyote hunting or taking standing shots while out hunting ground...

    Night Vision 300 BO

Re: 300 BO I've only used the Elcan M145, optical clarity was pretty good. Seemed to hold a zero well enough (on a M249 and M240B that is). I think that Elcan is only making BDC reticles for 5.56 and 7.62 right now though. The only dedicated 300 BLK scope out right now with a BDC reticle for...

Lets see those Tac Solution builds!

Re: Lets see those Tac Solution builds! I put this together last year. Taken it out on several hunting trips, seems to work. Averages quarter-sized groups at 50m with Rem golden bullets. With the synthetic stock and aluminum barrel, I'm pretty sure that the scope is the heaviest part on the...

Fieldcraft Wrapping barrel with burlap = accuracy change?

Re: Wrapping barrel with burlap = accuracy change? I haven't noticed any kind of shift with my rifles using camo-wrap, but I do know that a wrapped barrel and it's possible POI shift is a consideration that is taught at school. If I were you, I'd have at it and then if possible reconfirm the...

Which torque wrench is better? Borka or FAT

Re: Which torque wrench is better? Borka or FAT +1 For the FAT wrench. Although I haven't used the Borka, I can say that my FAT wrench is easy to use, easy to adjust, has more torque setting than the Borka, and from what I've seen around the net has a lower price tag.

    Decent ($150-250) scope for a CZ 22LR 452?

Re: Decent ($150-250) scope for a CZ 22LR 452? If you are willing to increase your spending limit by $55, I believe that a Pride Fowler 3-9x32mm .22lr scope would work out perfectly for what you're wanting. They're front focal and have a BDC reticle for a 40 gr high velocity bullet out to...

    Advanced Marksmanship short range shooting

Re: short range shooting If you're really worried about it and depending on your particular match's rules, you could always think about something like a micro-dot on either a picatinny or scope-tube mounted 45 degree off-set mount.

Rifle Scopes Whats a decent rimfire scope (cz 452 rifle)

Re: Whats a decent rimfire scope (cz 452 rifle) I put a Pride Fowler 3-9x .22lr scope on my 10/22 last year. Great scope, it has a BDC reticle for .22 40 gr rounds out to 200m. I’ve been very happy with mine, but they do run a little over $300.

    Fieldcraft shredding burlap?

Re: shredding burlap? In the past when I have had to strip Jute, I'd cut my pieces into various sized squares or rectangles. Generally 1-1.5ft x 2ft. Uniformity in strand sizing is not important. After all you're trying to make a jacket made of irregular shapes that will help break-up your...

    Gunsmithing weird bipod mounting situation

Re: weird bipod mounting situation I have a .308 5R that I purchased new and have used several M24SWS. Both of which come standard with two front sling swivel studs. This allows you to mount a bipod and a sling, and yes all Harris bipods have a sling attachment point but I guess that it's...

Re: 24" 6.5 Creedmoor GAP-10 Thank you. My book for this rifle consists of a Voo-Doo Tactical data book cover with a US Tactical Supply Modular Sniper Data Book inserted. I really like the fold-out zipper pocket in the cover, it fits a Kestrel and calculator perfectly.
