    Just for curiousity sake what was the issue they were having with the cold bore shots? My team also runs the AI AE and has a consistent issue with the cold bore shots being 1" low.

    Scout, As a LE Sniper I have run across this same issue. My solution is a Safariland drop leg holster with the upper leg strap removed and the drop strap shortened substantially. The handgun then rides much higher on your hip and has not been an issue for me during stalks. Frank

    Savage MKII TR stock issue

    After shooting my recently purchased MKII TR yesterday I noticed a crack in the stock on the pistol grip portion of the stock. Has this been a problem with these stocks in the past? I thought I had seen a post in regards to this but have been unable to locate any info after numerous searches...

    Which Savage Rifle?

    Re: Which Savage Rifle? I would go with the used 110 with the extra accessories. I have a Savage 110 in .243 and it has no feeding problems and is a very accurate weapon. The stock trigger is probably a 3 screw which when properly adjusted will perform quite well.

    Re: Best shooting mat?? I carry the TAB mat in my pack but use a Blackhawk mat for range work. The Blackhawk was spendy but worth it comfort wise.

    Re: Shooting Matts- What to look for? I use a Blackhawk rollup mat for training and also have the TAB mat in my deployment pack but have never actually used it on a deployment. The Blackhawk is fairly thick and a good mat for a static position.
