Agree with all of this. Mine is for use out to a max of 300yrs and spends most of its time @ 1x. Beyond that I want more magnification to prevent wounding and tracking injured game all day. Better reticle for holds and/or turrets are appreciated as the ranges stretch out and the wind becomes...
The optic in the 1st pic is a Specter DR 1x/4x. That particular setup is for hunting in places where you only see sky when you breakout onto the shore of a lake. About 3 decades ago I used to pull off my optic and just hunt with irons because sometimes even a 3-9x was too much in the woods. Its...
I like it a lot! It has functioned flawlessly so far but I've not shot it much. I was supposed to be hunting everyday by now but I'm stuck at moon base alpha for another year. (sometimes I think the only way I'm getting out of here is in a bag :() This means I only have access to 55gr ammo and...
You want extended range in a short rifle that can push a 215gr pill to 2950fps. Sounds like a Desert Tech SRS A1 to me. 26" barrel with a 9" suppressor would put it roughly at 45" OAL and depending on optic will be around 14 to 15lbs.
Configured exactly as pictured it is 12.6lbs...but it doesn't feel that heavy because of its awesome balance! BTW in the pic its balanced on the pistol grip in case anyone missed that.
My SRS A1 Covert with .223 SAC conversion. OAL of 27.25" with the 16.25" .223 barrel but I also have 18" & 26" barrels in 300WM for large game. Short rifle with bright, wide FOV optic for thick bush...now I just need some bush!
Anyone know the height of DTA's mounts? The FAQ says the height from the cheek weld to the center of the scope 1.52". I'm trying to match this to a Spuhr mount which have heights of 1.18", 1.46" & 1.5". Looking to find out which one more closely matches the height of DTA's mounts so I don't have...
Considering upgrading to a Spuhr mount only because I'm not 100% happy with the location of my ring mounted red dot. Anyone using a Spuhr mount and a Premier 5-25x56 with tennabraex covers? If so what model? Thanks!
Apparently they don't do emails either! lol On their website under "Sales" and then under "I'm interested in" you can select "Military and Police Individual Sales" so that makes no sense if they don't do direct sales. Sales | Tangent Theta Lets say their website is wrong and what you're saying...
I emailed them about their LEO pricing and they couldn't even bother to email me back so I'm over them. No issues with my Premier Heritage so I came to the conclusion that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. lol
Dust cover would be sweet...I don't fancy half a day cleaning my rifle again! AFG would be nice but a removable rail that mated up with the bottom rail would be better. The polymer section in front of the trigger guard gets pretty slippery in wet conditions so anything would be better than the...
Thanks for the info! I soon hope to be hunting in the trees so I'm trying to set this up to to be able to shoot quick at short range. I've got a RDS mounted on the scope at a 45 and the next step was to improve the offhand shooting position which I think this will do. Time to go place on order!
Looks awesome but how does the AFG feel in comparison to where you had it mounted before? Also what rail extension did you use? Man I love the all black SRS! Thanks!
