Planning for retirement bought all the 22lr.

Sounds like me as I retired May 2011 @ 55. Thirty seven years with the guvmint. Had enough. Started stockpiling several years before retirement just as you had. Both ammo and components. Congrats and enjoy.

    What suppressor for a .22??

User serviceable cans are easy to maintain. Eliminates being without as you don't have to send it off. Most durable would be a stainless can. Not that much more weight then aluminum but will hold up better over the longer run. "The dip" is a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. DO...

    Which .22 Semi Handgun?

Somewhat pricey and discontinued but available is the CZ Kadet. Reliable and fun. Ruger MKIII 22/45 with MK II bushing and VZ grips. Bushing is easy install and makes mag changes and takedown less complicated. One of my favorites. I suspect both will last for a couple of generations.

    Ruger 10/22 barrel length

I had fitment problems with my Kidd/Spectre. Sent the barrel back to Kidd and Tony chased the threads and no more problems. Thought I was the only one with this problem. Still worth the trouble as the Kidd is very accurate.

    CMMG vs DPMS

I purchased my DPMS at the Spring Wannemachers Show. I saw several at the Fall Wannemachers. Being a 4100 table show you are bound to find most anything. They are out there. Love this rifle-

Are Air rifles the pacifier or alternative to ammo availability & cost?

My twenty year old Beeman R7 does not do it for me. I want to smell burnt powder.

To the tick turds that keep hoarding the .22 lr stores, I will be laughing hard

Got to remember a lot of new shooters in the last year. They are on the hunt for ammo also. May be a while before ammo companies ramp up.

Without spending a ton of money, the CZ 452/453 will keep you entertained accuracy wise. Nice build quality for the money.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Ruger 22/45 threaded or Browning Buckmark Whisper?

Re: Ruger 22/45 threaded or Browning Buckmark Whisper? Having owned both, I like the Rugers better due mostly to the aftermarket. Lot of folks believe the Ruger is slightly quietier due to the ejection port opening. With all that said they are both great suppressor platforms. I would stay...

Sidearms & Scatterguns First 1911 (Updated with range report, pics)

Re: First 1911 Keep and eye on the guide rod as it will back off with a lot of shooting. I changed mine over the a GI set up to eliminate this and to allow toolless takedown. Also got rid of the locking MSH a titanium firing pin. Did not really improve the trigger pull, as mine came with a...
