New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Recently mounted a scope on my Franklin 17-X in 17wsm. Unfortunately, the fixed front iron sight is blocking my sight picture/ reticle. Just wondering how best to go about removing the front sight?
As it is not probably going out beyond 300m a LPVO is probably overkill. I do like the option of having a small amount of magnification and hash marks or BDC. Unfortunately, given it’s a rimfire the BDC would not really line up ballistically.
I just picked up a tricked out rimfire m4 trainer. It won’t be shooting beyond 400m. The idea is to save money on ammo and replicate the real deal I use in the military.
Just wondering what would be the best optic between:
* Aimpoint Comp m5
* Elcan Specter DR
* EOTech 553
* Sig Romeo 4XT-Pro...

Just got a ZCO 527 and it’s a great scope, but just went to zero it and read that the turret screws need to be torqued to 4.5 in lbs. Unfortunately my Borka torque kit doesn’t go that low. Can anyone recommend what they used to torque them down as recommended?
I’m getting no difference between the height of the front and back of the scope rail using calipers (when measured as above). Any gurus see anything wrong in how I measured? And anyone ever heard of a Blaser Tac 2 with a 0 MOA scope rail?
I measure from the top to the bottom of the last pic scope rail at the chamber end (top image) getting 1.4 Inches. Next I measure from the top of the last pic rail to the bottom of the barrel (bottom image) getting 4.8 Inches. Finally I measured just the barrel diameter right in front of the pic...
Just got a Blaser Tac 2 in 223 (sans manual). Just wandering what is the recommended torque for the two screws attaching the barrel to the stock using the hex key?
