    why not 222 remington magnum

    I am considering rebarreling my 223 1-12 twist to a 222 rem mag fast twist. I believe that it has more capacity than a 223AI to push the heavy bullets. Why is there no load data and no interest in triple deuce mag for the high bc pills.

    cold weather 10/22 jam

    What causes a 10/22 to jam the shell at an angle failing to chamber. So I have tried 4 different ammo brands all plated. I am also using the ruger bx25 magazines. It runs awesome but when it is cold I get an occasional jam.

    Berger VLD jump to the lands?

    I am curious how far I should jump Berger VLD bullets. I am shooting a 6.5-284 Norma with 140 bergers. Distance to the lands is 3.259. Berger suggests a COAL of 3.228. I am nervous about letting the bullet touch the lands because there is so little contact with the case neck.

    Savage rifle is not free floated

    I bought a new Savage long range hunter. It has the accustock but it is not free floated at the end of the barrel. Should I remove the stock and sand it until it free floats?
