Rifle Scopes Ares Gen 2 vs. PST Gen 2??

I've seen a bunch of comparisons between the Ares Gen1 and PST Gen 2 but can't find anything on the Ares Gen 2. I'm most interested in the x15 power range. I'm also indifferent if it's 1st or 2nd focal plan. I want to know glass quality and turret reliability and feel. Thanks in advance for...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell LRHSi vs. Sig Sauer Tango 6 (1st Gen) and MOA vs. Mil

Thoughts on these two scopes? I see the good price on the Bushnell on GAP but I've never used mils. I found a nice Sig in MOA which is what I'm used too. I'm most concerned with tracking reliability. My other two rifles wear MOA scopes already and I'm not replacing them anytime soon. So I'm...

Range Report Shooter Program Azimuth Settings

When I use the "Get Target Azimuth" on my Droid, I get some negative readings. Instead of 0*, 90*, 180* and 270*, I get up to 180* and then it starts with negative numbers. -170*, -160* etc. and due west is -90*. Is there a setting to change this? I can't find it anywhere.

260 Remington and 123 Amax seating depth results

I'm shooting a Savage with a #3 Brux barrel in a Boyd's thumbhole stock. Finally settled on 45.5 grains of H4350 for my load. The OAL was 2.865 touching the lands and it was a consistent 3/4 MOA performer. Decided to try adjusting seating depth to see if I could do any better. I tried to keep...

    .260 Remington and 130grn. Bergers

Looking for some load info. Seems most are running the 140grn. class bullets. Currently shooting the 123grn. Amax but only getting about 3/4 MOA accuracy. I have H4350, H4831, H1000 and some Retumbo. Thanks in advance.

Range Report Shooter App vs. Ballistic problem

I've been using Ballistic on my iTouch for over a year and have had great success with 4 different rifles. I put Shooter on my Droid hoping that maybe I wouldn't need to carry the iTouch anymore. Entered all proven info from Ballistic into Shooter. All drops match within .1 MOA on all rifles...

Rifle Scopes Viper PST 6-24x50 EBR1 vs. Sightron 6-24x50 LRMOA

I've seen the PST compared to every other scope except this one. I've narrowed it down to these two and need help deciding. It will go on a 6.5-284 that I use to practice with out to 1200+ yds. I currently have the regular Viper 6.5-20x44 on there and it has worked pretty well but it's...

7 Rem. Mag and too much smoke

I'm trying to work up a load with my 7mm mag and 180 grain Bergers and H1000. I've worked from 63 up to 69.5 grains before I saw too much pressure. All the loads had a lot of smoke coming out of the barrel. I'm also getting a lot of powder fouling. Is this powder too slow?? Thanks in...

Rifle Scopes Sightron SIII SS 6-24X50 LRMOA

Anyone have any info on this scope? I've had Sightron scopes before that I was impressed with. I'd like to know how reliable it tracks. http://www.sightron.com/index.php?action=view_document&did=1201816362&cat_id=6&id=168

    .260Rem and 123gr. A-Max, Scenar and SMK

Waiting for my barrel to get here for a .260 I'm building and I need some good loads. I picked these bullets as they have a very high BC. for their weight and they won't take up as much powder space as the 140gr. Bergers I have for my 6.5-284. I have on hand some H1000, H4831sc, RL22 and Magpro...

    Gunsmithing 6.5-270 wsm??

I'm looking into having a 6.5 wsm built and since I have a lot of 270 wsm Norma brass, I want to use it. My question is, can this be done and not have to turn the necks? I would really like to just keep it simple. Thanks in advance.

    Fieldcraft Krylon and Sponge Painting????

I want to try this on a build I'm finishing up. I'm confused about something though. Do you spray the sponge and then apply it, or do you spray the paint in a container, dip the sponge and then apply it? Anything else I need to know before attempting? Thanks in advance.
